Student Ambassador Leadership Program (SALP)

SALP is a 14-month extra-curricular program aimed at exploring and enhancing your leadership qualities and skills by volunteering with the university and wider melbourne community.

The program builds an invaluable network of support and guidance for community-minded individuals.

SALP aims to:

If you are in the second or subsequent year of your undergraduate degree (final years not eligible) or you are a postgraduate student, you can apply.

Do we get training?

Yes - SALP offers a series of seminars and workshops on topics such as public presentation, ethics and community project management.

Ambassadors also participate in two leadership weekends that provide training via personal challenges and working with others.

Is there a fee?

Yes, ambassadors contribute $80 towards the cost of the leadership weekends. ($40 for country and interstate students)
