The Bachelor of Music is a highly flexible course, able to be tailored to match the interests, skills and needs of a diverse student body. We have comprehensive practical, ensemble and chamber music programs, and play an important part in the concert life of the city of Melbourne, giving you many opportunities to contribute to the rich musical tapestry of the city.

BMus students receive a great deal of individual attention and support throughout their degree. before commencing the course, all students attend a personal interview with the Dean and the head of their instrument group, they receive regular one-to-one tuition and have a high level of access to staff for course advice and planning, and for referral to the many services offered by the University.

At the end of your course, you can expect to have experienced 'real-world' performance conditions and to have established relationships and networks that will last a lifetime.
