The lecturers in the Faculty of Music are talented, well-educated and experienced, and they teach us very well. They are very friendly and always teach us patiently. Therefore, I feel comfortable learning from them and in asking them questions which always helps me a lot, both in assignments and examinations.  Moreover, the practical teachers are world-class musicians and this made me choose the Faculty of Music.

There are many interesting projects and activities I’ve done since starting my course. For example, I found Strings Class is quite a fun activity. The lecturer makes the class light and happy and every student participates a lot in the class. I enjoy aural lessons and practical lessons the most although they are not easy. I enjoy it because these two subjects are practical subjects so that means there is no written work. The challenging part of the course for me is writing assignments.   Because I am not a native English speaker or writer, sometimes I find written work challenging.

There are a number of things that I would like to mention about our campus life. I found that the Union House on the campus is definitely great. It provides us variety of food which is delicious and reasonably priced. On the other hand, it is right on campus so that we don’t have to spend time travelling around but can eat when it suits us.

Melba Hall is the Faculty’s music hall and it provides an opportunity for students to perform. I believe this is also a great part of our student life on campus. I feel that the University of Melbourne provides a great environment for students.

I am living in a studio apartment in College Square on Swanston. I love this place very much and I found it when I visited Melbourne University two years ago. It is very convenient and nice accommodation because it is very close to Melbourne University.

I love the surroundings and the lovely atmosphere in Melbourne. People in Melbourne are very nice and keen to answer questions so students do not have to be afraid to ask questions especially for those students whose native language is not English. Moreover, Melbourne is a city with fresh air and different cultures, I always feel comfortable living here. I want to be a musician in my future since I love music and I also want to take part in some musical management career. Therefore, my future will all belong to music.
